Tajweed and Qirat (Recitation and Beautification of Quran)

The Tajweed and Qirat program at Marifatul Quran Academy is designed to deepen students’ understanding and mastery of Quranic recitation, ensuring they recite the Quran with proper pronunciation, intonation, and rules of Tajweed. This course not only focuses on the accurate recitation of the Quran but also aims to enhance the spiritual connection with the Holy Book through the beauty and perfection of recitation.

Program Overview:

• Duration: 2-year program
• Class Frequency: 45 minutes daily, 5 days a week

Course Content:

• Foundations of Tajweed: Students learn the fundamental rules of Tajweed, including proper articulation points (Makhaarij al-Huroof) and characteristics of letters (Sifaat al-Huroof).
• Rules of Recitation: Detailed study of Tajweed rules such as elongation (Madd), nasalization (Ghunnah), and rules of stopping (Waqf).
• Practice Sessions: Ample opportunities for students to practice recitation under the guidance of experienced instructors, ensuring adherence to Tajweed principles.
• Qirat Styles: Introduction to different Qirat styles (modes of recitation), such as Hafs and Warsh, with a focus on understanding their unique characteristics and application.
